Spoiler E3 Predictions, Hopes, and Dreams Thread

It's that time of year lads.

There are some things that are so guaranteed they're not really even worth predicting like a new Call of Duty for the year.  A Switch Pro reveal.  A Smash character reveal.  Halo: Infinite gameplay demo.

I'm gonna go out on a wild prediction this year though and say new Donkey Kong game.  The last one was 2014, and we've got no idea what Retro has been cobbling together in the background for the last seven years but for perhaps the new Metroid.  I'm thinking it may even be a Donkey Kong 3D platformer like DK64 if it's taken this long to create.  The devs back during TF's interviewing phase said they already build TF in 3D anyhow so a 3D game wouldn't be that outlandish.

Also predicting a pretty safe prediction of some Age of Empires 4 gameplay.

I also wanna see another season of FighterZ characters, and Doomguy for Smash.

I think Infinite will have an MP demo with a low chance of any campaign footage.
Probably the release of Infinite beta test flight?

Hoping Valve will show off HL:Citadel. But it will most likely be Artifact 2.

Rockstar and a new GTA? Nah, its probably some GTA Online expansion. R* never did E3 reveals, except maybe for that GTA IV trailer at the X360 show.

it's only a big deal because it's a collab between the guy who made dark souls and the guy who will never finish the book series that game of thrones is based off of

besides that, i can't say the game really grabs me in any way—i'm sure it'll be great, but it just looks like dark souls again

Which is exactly why we're probably getting Saber from Fate/Stay Night. VNs do technically count as games and  the Camelot setting is basically just Fire Emblem with less blue hair.
Enjoy getting edge-guarded by windboxes, hyper armor, Self-Healing, unpunishable recovery, and every single attack being completely invisible disjoints.

The people jumping to conclusions about Elden Ring and hyping themselves to High Fuckand by making up some perfect game in their heads are just setting themselves up for unnecessary disappointment when it comes out and is just Dark Souls but with decent jumping.
