nintendo ought to produce amiibo cards themselves for people who just want the content that they're being locked out of, and aren't necessarily interested in hunting for extortionately-priced toys as well

Just about to beat Ganon

Supremely excited for this DLC... I really wish they'd actually gone with a New Game + option, though.

I've almost maxed out every armour set available in the base game. All that's left is 2 pieces of the Rubber set (can't be bothered to hunt down 20 more Electric Lizalfos in the desert) the Snow/Sand Boots (Rushrooms can fuck off), Zora Helm, Sheikah set (haven't encountered a single Stealthfin Trout) and Climber set (Swift Violet eludes me as well).

So thankful they reduced the number of Star Fragments necessary to max out some sets, including the Amiibo armor. By the end of next week I should have access to: OoT outfit, Fierce Diety, Skyward Sword outfit, and the TP outfit. They all require (except FD IIRC) 12 fragments each, instead of 36 EACH, like before.

Can you get Fierce Deity without buying?

You can buy the amiibo or the amiibo card for 10 bucks, but no you have to buy unfortunately.

There are rumours of a Year of the Wild edition with everything on disc though

If there's one thing the completionist in me can't stand it's collectathons that don't have lists for every item. I'm spending a couple hours over the last 2 days trying to exterminate every Talus and Hinox in Hyrule to get my Medal of Honour from Kilton. After I finish my run, I talk to him only to find out I'm missing 2 of 40 Taluses and 1 of 40 Hinox. And there's no real way for me to figure out which ones I'm missing except to walk up to them and initiate the fight.

Korok seeds have this problem even worse. If there was at least a method checking how many more seeds you need per tower region, or if the Korok mask pointed you in the direction of the closest Korok seed rather than just jingling when you're in view of the seed already, these wouldn't exist.

Just found this amazing interactive map that shows every Korok seed, Talus and Hinox location and you can filter through to find anything you could possibly want.

When any of the Divine Helms are equipped with Ancient Cuirass and Ancient Greaves (All armor items need to be upgraded level 2 ★★ or above), you’ll also trigger a set bonus, Ancient Proficiency, which increases the attack power of Ancient or Guardian series weapons. All of them will increase guard from ancient energy attacks, while defense level and required materials for level-up are the same as those of Ancient Helm. Enemies' remaining HP/full HP will also be visible like the Champion's Tunic.

Additionally, there are specific effects for each item:
- Vah Rudania Divine Helm: Flame Guard (Lv1)
- Vah Ruta Divine Helm: Swim Speed Up (Lv1)
- Vah Naboris Divine Helm: Electricity Resistance (Lv1)
- Vah Medoh Divine Helm: Cold Resistance (Lv1)

Medoh and Naboris are the only ones that look cool to me but it's nice to see additional Ancient helmets considering the one in-game looks terrible.

Holy shit. There's an additional scene of Link and Zelda looking at the castle with the 4 Champions and King Rhoam looking down from the main tower if you don't skip the credits. Pretty awesome.
