Does anyone here actually play game series' with yearly releases?

I mean for instance Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed & Fifa. For me I've made a rule for myself to only buy Treyarch CoD games since they're usualy the only good ones at this point. I the last BF game I bought was BF4 & I got AssCreed 4 , Unity & Fifa free with my Xbone.

I'm wondering if anyone actually keeps up with yearly release games? I usually tend to try to stay away from them.

I did for Assassin's Creed up to Revelations. I also bought Black Flag since I can't help myself but wish for a pirate game.

I don't, hell, I don't play any title with a yearly release.

I know one person who honestly said there's enough in each FIFA to warrant the full price each year. I walked out of the room at that point.

I have Fifa '99 on my ps1. It is literally the exact same game as Fifa '15. That said there are more features and better graphics. But it's essentially the same game.

I don't really look for if it's a yearly release, what I look for is when the game is released and if it's a good game or not and the amount of content they add. If they can manage pulling off yearly releases and still having the games be great than sure I'll buy it (most don't).

BFH - 2015

EA tried to make it yearly with hardline's original release date but after people told them to fuck off with that shite, they pushed it back into 2015. Which has worked out well for everyone involved >.>
Plus BF4 is still planned to be supported for quite a while, they've extended the premium calendar and have announced free DLC in the upcoming months. One being at the end of April (Weapon crate DLC, AN94, L86A2, GROZA variants x2 and a sniper-pistol) the other being map packs later on.

As you might be able to tell, I like Battlefield >_>

Noshar Canals... fan favourite. I heard about a night time version of Siege Of Shanghai I don't know if that's one of the maps but that will be cool none the less.

I usually rent CODs for the campaign, I don't know what drove me to purchase Advanced Warfare this past January, because that is one of the most frustrating multiplayer experiences I have ever played. I'm burnt out on Assassins's Creed. Black Flag was excellent though, but I have a hard time convincing myself to get Unity even with it's current $20 price tag.

Well, when they say fan favourite they mean TDM catnip <.<

The map was god awful outside of TDM, 9 games out of 10 it would end up with the Russkies setting up a firing line of Javelins/T-90s on the docks and just bombarding the yanks into smithereens but it was a very fun map for TDM >.>

Indeed, night versions of several maps have been tested out in the CTE and I'd expect to see them as a part of a patch/update sometime in the near future. There were also a lot of polls done to determine genuine fan favourites from the earlier titles for potential remakes too.

All in all, DICE is really putting their heart into making BF4 a brilliant game when most devs would just ditch a game after a few months/year at most.

Not really. Last Cod I've bought was Black Ops, last BF was BF3 and I've never bought any AC games.

However my brother seems to buy into them, AC at least (He has every single one - great fun when you didn't pay for them

Does Halo count? Started at 3, bought ODST, Reach, and regretted getting a limited edition of 4.

I used to buy AC every year since AC2, but Unity burned me harder than AC3, so they'll have to impress me with AC Victory this year for me to consider buying it or that'll be the end of it for me.

nope. last CoD i bought was BLOPS2, last asscreed was AC4, BF3 was my last BF it looks like.
i havent owned a sports game since Madden '03.
