It's not uncommon with what they did - with new expansions and games on the horizons, they have to give longevity - giving you amazing weapons in Year One and having you use them to fly through the future DLC does not do that.

New expansion is out, with near gear. So any old gear you have is obsolete. Some year one guns are still good in crucible since they're attack values don't matter, but other than that. There's not much point in using them. You can get a stronger weapon from a green engram drop on the first mission than any gun in year 1. Some exoctics can be upgraded, and more will be added over time, that's about it though. What I'm really curious about is next year. The sequel. I'm ready for it. TTK was a big improvement. And they've been working on it since before the original game came out. They've been working on the sequel just as long I'd assume, if not longer. It's a big chance for Bungie to turn Destiny into a great franchise. They have so much potenonal. I know a lot of people hate on Bungie. But some of them, in interviews really do seem to care. I feel bad for them in a way. Because they know they messed up. And they're disappointed. There's good people there. They have like 500 employees. Plus High Moon Studios. Activision pulled them to help develop whatever. Maybe DLC...All I know is, I might take a break from Destiny related websites come next year. People are already made about some content be irrelevant, and gear being obsolete. So imagine next year... God. Some people actually think Destiny will be 1 game that is going to be updated for 10 years. I've tried to tell them. But they won't listen.
