Look I actually like this game these days, but Jesus this trailer was fucking cringeworthy.
And FFS Nathan Fillion has literaly been reduced a caricature of himself in every role he plays.

i'm all about enjoying games for what they are, not what they were hyped up to be--which is why i can enjoy games like no man's sky despite the fact that i'm supposed to hate it

i'm not saying i'll like destiny too but i wanna give every game i try out a fair shake

also, "an ugly contest where everybody's winning"--that's a pretty good line

I've vibrator haven't seen any of the ads since the first dlc came out for Destiny Syu I don't know they handled it

The raids are what make it worth it. If you can get together a group who have never done one of the raids before, and who aren't complete bumblefucks I think you would really enjoy trying to figure them out. It would be an especialy good time to do it now since they have all been revamped to be relevant once again.

The rest of the game however ranges from half-decent to some of the worst game design you'll encounter in a AAA title.

Weapon hunting is good if that is your thing, they aren't quite as unique as Borderlands but they do the job.

Average level design outside of the raids is generally if not universaly poor. If you thought Combat Evolved was monotonous you haven't seen anything yet. There are two times of objectives in Destiny's missions:
-Go here and kill guys
-Stand here and kill guys
And occasional something gimmicky gets put it like half assed platforming segments.
 Bosses are especialy bad and boil down to bullet sponges with a legion of neverending trash mobs. A couple of missions break the mold somewhat.

PvP is Mario Kart the FPS if the Karts in Mario Kart had RNG stats and every single player got a guaranteed Blue Shell every hundred yards. Do not get invested in this whatsoever unless you are actively trying to degrade your on emotional health.

Other than that the game is your typical MMO grind in the form of an FPS. Even if that's not your thing I still think you should give it a shot if only for the raids which I honestly think you would enjoy figuring out.

Story is non-existent, and pvp is very unfortunate. The actual gunplay is very polished; unfortunately-- in the interest of making it a "shared world fps" instead of an fps MMO-- they kept the worst parts of MMOs without the benefits. Basically, it's an FPS Diablo (if Diablo had raids, and required group effort for anything worthwhile).

It's like they tried to copy a deadpool trailer or something.

So when does the full game release

Destiny 2 Complete Edition will launch in early 2019 for a hefty price of 199.99
