MAXIMUM OVERBUMP

OT: Iron Flesh is fantastic in Dark Souls 2, love it on my pyromancer. I'm genuinely surprised almost no one uses it. With the Black Dragon Armor, 20 intelligence and faith, and the Dispelling Ring, I can just tank through any spell no problem.

"Oh, Great Resonant Soul? More like SHIVA THE DECEASED LOL."

Not to mention the awesome physical defenses and poise it gives, too. Even getting backstabbed by a dagger isn't nearly enough to put me down.

Anyone kind enough to give me any ideas for a character build? I'm grasping at straws for ideas so I am making a fat giantdad with the Pharros Mask for a Grandfather build haha, that's how low on ideas I am.

Haha both of those sound pretty good actually. But is it even possible to power stance those "Hammers" since they need 70 STR? Or does it just let you by having 99

According to the wiki, they can be powerstanced with 99 strength. Of course, you'd be better off powerstancing Giant Warrior Clubs, but that doesn't have the l33tmlgswag factor of duel-wielding metal chicken legs.

I got my vanquishers seal a couple days ago. Slapped on engraved gauntlest and dressed up as a peasant. All hail glorious fisticuffs!

I can see it now. You want to summon Solaire for the fight but you don't want to waste your precious spells to kill the sentinels that draw his attention and injure him before the fight.

Or, you send your best spells at fatass sumo god and his fucking hammer negates them.

Or, you just aren't having a good time keeping sumo god away from ogrestien so that you have enough time to hit one of them.

MFW engraved gauntlets allow me to do 3000 damage backstabs on Alonne Knigh captains on New Game + 2

Fuck Havel monsters too. Armour is useless. May as well fashion souls it up. Besides, this peasent does all the work for the noblemen. Smelter demon ain't got shit on my crops.

Armor is far from useless. Besides, you're forgetting the mlgl33tswag factor that the Havel gauntlets give fists.

Yeah, armour is useless. Full havels gets stunlocked by a dagger on the first hit. Wearing havels or nothing at all and I still get two shotted either way by some spastic little gremlin with a crystal magic buffed dagger. LOL POISE, LOL ARMOUR.

Pretty much yeah, I think I may have to fight everyone using melee and then summon solaire.

Its definitely more challenging than most modern games, you can't go into a fight swinging left right and centre, you need to plan and learn the attacks of your enemies. What makes it most challenging is that it's very unforgiving. It can be hard at first, I would know I got stuck on the second boss for months but now I can blaze through pretty quickly.
