Can someone drop a symbol of avarice for me? It didn't drop on my current playthrough.

I have two on another character so I can drop both and you can keep one.

Ps4.

So can we agree that those cunting Snakemen with chains during the Ancient Wyvern bit are the real bosses of the battle?

You mean the magic chain axes that can go through walls, floors, or ceilings, and are like 100 feet long? Yeah fuck those.

“I’ve become skeptical of the unwritten rule that just because a boy and girl appear in the same feature, a romance must ensue. Rather, I want to portray a slightly different relationship, one where the two mutually inspire each other to live - if I’m able to, then perhaps I’ll be closer to portraying a true expression of love.”

How do you even deal with this in-game? Can you anticipate them at all?

Huh. For a design ethos that rewards the wary this strikes me as poor design.

I'm on NG+ as long as we use a password it should be cool right?

Do you have any of the rings?

I'm not so sure how it works, but we can try.

I have a few of the +1 rings and Darkmoon ring. This character is pretty much disposable. I just want my symbol and mats transferred over.

Pull the mobs nearby, then rush when he's alone and try to stun-lock him until he dies or bait him off the bridge.  Or throw an alluring skull and run.

Alright, that sounds much more like the souls I know. Is this a scenario where you have to think a bit outside the box for a solution, or is it pretty apparent from the in-game situation?

It's just a bad encounter, programming-wise. The chain clips through walls and floors; it's not like the ghosts of New Londo that had a reason for their ambushes. It's unlikely that somebody without prior knowledge of the enemy would survive their first time against one because of how badly it's designed. And it's just a big enemy, not even a mini-boss.

Oh, well it's good there's a workaround strategy until its patched. I asked about novel problems because I'm somewhat (though not really) on the fence about purchasing this right now. From what I've seen it's more souls, which is nice, but it seems more derivative of other souls-born Miyazaki titles. In general I'm wondering whether this game offers enough new and engaging content to be as interesting as the other installments.

The password system removes level limitations, but does it also remove the item level restrictions?

Pretty sure it does. You just can't trade them a weapon that's above their item level tier

For the people struggling with getting a Symbol of Avarice, there is a way to get one guaranteed per playthrough. Using Lloyd's Talismans (or Hunter Charms, whatever they're called now) on a mimic will cause them to give up their reward without becoming hostile. Throw charm, loot mimic, hit mimic once, throw charm, check if he dropped Avarice, hit again, throw another charm, repeat ad infinitum. Just stock up on charms from the Handmaiden and then use them on the same mimic until he drops one.
I knew this but I still killed the last mimic like a dumbass.

I understand that it might be the current meta game, but why is every host using Dark Sword?

These are the same people who need 3 summons for Vordt in NG+.

You can infuse the Dark Sword to scale well in just about whatever you want.

Great moveset, nice scaling and the ability to infuse it.

Wat r u, casul?
Black Knight Greataxe? More like BLACK KNIGHT GOD-AXE.

Seriously, that thing is hilariously good.

Estoc/Dark Sword is no match for the hyper-armor and 3-shot kills.

Sweet, so my friend who's just started can summon me, even though I'm lvl 100 in NG+
