Dark sould 2 has finaly broken me

Days of fighting tooth and nail
learning from my mstakes
getting better
Trial and error
Over and over
and what does it all boil down to?

being unable to progress after the first boss because for the past 8 hours the game decided to spam greedy level-capped No-Life players with Mile long health bars into my game who use bullshit auto-win magic to kill me for no reason other than to put it in their shitty montages.

Why the fuck does this mechanic exist?
Why should I have to Unplug my godamn modem just to be able to make progress in a game?

I've only ever been invaded once and people have to be within a certain level range of you to be invaded if I recall correctly.

I'm legit confused as to how you can't beat the giant though, he's the easiest boss in the game and even someone like me who sucks at Dark Souls can beat him solo.

No, I beat the giant on my second try. No too hard of a boss. especialy after playing so much Monster Hunter. I liked when he tried to use his arm as a club.

This happened right after I beat him. Some guy with a Ku-Klux-Klan outfit kept invading me in the next segment amd spammed some magic that filled the entire area and one-shotting me. I tried waiting for him to go away, He didnt. I turned off my Xbox, waiuted a while came back and he kept invading me.

This happened nearly all day

How many times did you get invaded? Because there is a cooldown timer that prevents invasions from happening back to back once it happens the first time.

Are you on the base game or Scholar of the first sin? It's not an issue most of the time, I rarely get invaded in my game. In fact my first play through had 10 invaders max.

Just burn an effigy at bonfire if getting invaded is too much.

Yes, you should buy the SOFS edition as it has all the DLC already included.

If you haven't played the Dark souls 1 though, you should go ahead and play that first if possible, the PC version requires tweaking though.

oh I've played one, I've got 2 on 360 as well but the dumb fucker got a red ring the first day I bought DS2. I'll wait for a sale and get both on steam

Go offline if it's that big of an issue, but you can also summon other players to help you, or summon the NPC of the area to distract him. If you're talking about The Last Giant, he should be easy. You might be underleveled.

As for invasions, they should be within 10 levels and without access to much magic, and I don't recall invasions being nasty in that area, so I'm kind of confused.
