I wouldn't call it shitty. Perhaps it's just not for you. The gameplay can be fast paced and addictive to some. Checking all the boxes of what they like in a FPS.

OT: I'm not surprised. Ghosts turned off a lot of people from the franchise. With Destiny out, and Halo: MCC also in November, I expect those games to soak up a portion of CoD's fanbase.

After all Destiny is the only game on the market and no other game is as popular or comes close to it. I heard for that GTA 5 game RockStar lied about banking over 1billion in two days only on two systems.

They were great games and were set apart from the rest for their smooth gameplay (60 FPS) and easy access.

They don't hold up today nearly as well, but at the time MW and MW2 were some of the best FPS out there (at least for consoles).

I like how the main selling point for this game is basically "We have Kevin Spacey." No doubt he will be brilliant though. I'd really only want to rent it for the campaign.

Or the revival of the classic FPS. I think Wolfenstien TNO is a good example of going back to old school mechanics and also blending current trends. It did still have sprint and aiming down the sights, but let us dual wield shotguns and assault rifles and carry every weapon. I'm really looking forward to how the new Doom will turn out.
