Emerald was the first time I properly played Pokemon and when my Combusken finally evolved I was amazed. I think it was because I was a DBZ nut, and something about Blaziken's design and style reminded me of Goku. Plus Fire/Fighting was cool until it got a bit stale in later generations. I liked him before I even knew how good he was online, which just adds to it.

The Mega form is cool too but I'm still more of a fan of the OG.

I like Porygon, because back then, I simply found the very concept of a virtual, man-made Pokémon to be really cool. I liked how primitive and shitty it looked, because it mirrored how shitty 3D graphics processors were in the '90s. It was a cartoon representation of cartoon representations.

It's funny that I couldn't quite put into words just why I liked Porygon when I was a kid, but I can now.

Sadly, both of its evolutionary stages are pretty lame, design-wise, and getting him to evolve is an absolute bitch, because it involves trading him twice (or four times if you want Porygon2's Pokédex data) while holding two hard-to-find items. I was just happy that they gave him evolutions at all, because Porygon has always gotten nothing but shit. He was the most difficult and time-consuming Pokémon to get in RBY and FR/LG, by far, because he cost 9999 coins in the Game Corner (6500 in Blue), and as far as I know, he's almost completely unavailable anywhere and everywhere else.

I never even got to see him featured in the anime. The ONE episode he was featured in was the episode that gave a bunch of kids epileptic seizures in Japan, so it never broadcast in America. He never appeared again, despite the fact that it was technically Pikachu who caused the rapid flashes to occur. <_<

I have a lot of favorites, but one of them is Shinx. I love cats and he was the first pokemon i caught in gen4. Also it evolves into Luxray(too bad hes meh competitively).

Dragonite is has always been my favourite. He's gentle yet extremely powerful, can serve a specific role on any team, and just looks fucking awesome. I remember seeing him for the first time in Silver and I was infatuated instantly.

Gonna have to go with a Salamence. Dragon types were always awesome, and Salamence's design is one of my favorite. Plus the dude is beast.

Ditto has been my favorite since the beginning. I suppose I liked it at first because of the transform move, but I also enjoyed the "failed clone of Mew" theory. Plus, it would be completely OP IRL, like that one anime episode way back in the beginning of the series.

I like its shiny and normal color scheme, I like its design, and I chose Froakie as my starter so I went through X/Y with Greninja. It was also a great Pokemon for competitive play.

He's been the mainstay of every party I've run since pokemon ruby, I mean he might not be the most astoundingly stronk statswise but that doesn't stop him from running the paintrain on every playthrough <_<

I also picked up a little figurine of him when I was in grorious nippon several years ago.
