But seriously, what was 343 thinking with their ad campaign? That players would think it's cute that it was all just a huge misdirection to "hunt the truth" by playing the game?

Perhaps the story writers sent the advertisers old versions of the Halo 5 story so they weren't up to date?

Or 343 actually thought that was the story they were telling in Halo 5 but were too stupid to notice they were wrong?
