1. The point of the article was to explain why he acted the way he did in Halo 4.2. Him ordering the Chief to destroy the Didact's constructs is irrelevant. You must remember what exactly the Chief saw. Up until this moment, humanity had no idea we were a space faring race that combated the Forerunners. For Chief to say such a thing is ludicrous, and he can't just check the helmet cam because all he'd see is him floating in a gravity lift. Not to mention, you must realize that eyewitness testimony is the lowest form of empirical evidence, especially since his helmet can vastly contradicts his testimony. Then there's the other factor of Del Rio not wanting to lose the ship, and cost humanity something that they nearly lost the Covenant War just to build.
