I can't believe they're dragging out Modern Warfare's corpse to try and make money

However, no season pass so maybe going in the right direction?

Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
That actually looks... not that bad. Looks like they're going back to the dark and gritty tone that Call of Duty 4 had and ditching the Michael Bay-inspired stuff that MW2 and MW3 were which is nice.

Sucks that Captain Price has a new voice actor but the original actor is 80 years old IIRC so that makes sense. Wonder if any other familiar characters will make a comeback too.

The Nu-Infinity Ward looks like they finally know what they're doing.

From my understanding they're rebooting the Modern Warfare storyline so it's not gonna do anything with the previous games but there's going to be returning characters.

There was not a single game that came out from AAA companies in recent years that I wanted to play.

Who paid you to look at this?
So they're pretty much out of ideas and have resorted to rebooting old COD games? That's just sad.

Seriously, its campaign is one of my all-time favourite FPS campaigns.

Gameplay too dumbed down since Black Ops II.

I don't know why everyone is praising this game's grittiness and comparing it to No Russian. The whole of MW2 revolved around its consequences and it was there to convey a message. So far, this game just seems like it's going for shock value that's been in every Call of Duty before it

But it's gong to make a billion dollars with the hype and people will fall for it again next year

I have seen literally nobody make this comparison except for you, and No Russian by no means was gritty because it takes place during the day in an airport filled with life and colors.

Call of Duty 4 has nearly every single mission take place during the night or early morning when the sun is barely out and all the environments are gray/brown war-torn cities. Even the missions that took place during the day were still dark and they translated that same atmosphere to the multiplayer. They're trying to recapture that feeling with this new game because that's Call of Duty at it's best instead of the rainbow colored shitfest it is now.

MW2 was nothing more than a over-exaggerated Michael Bay summer blockbuster. I think you're looking a little too much into this. It was still enjoyable and fun to play, but most people still prefer how much more grounded feeling Call of Duty 4 had.

Seeing bad things in a game about war? Damn, consider me bamboozled.

Every major gaming news site is praising the mission they got to play where civilians were dying and one had a baby

As if it’s something new for the series
They really abused it with the Black Ops series where they were throwing in gruesome war crimes on top of the goofiest shit you’ve ever seen
It just didn’t seem like there was any point to it

And I meant gritty as in tone, not colors
A game doesn’t need to be black and white to be serious

I think their opinion is worthless, they just praise it for clicks, because that's their job to get as much clicks as possible.

"Civilians dying and one has baby" scene is in Spec Ops: The Line btw. Don't know why I say that
