After the Skirmish on Installation 03, John received an upgraded MKVI suit designed for the Mjolnir GEN2 platform. The armor is superficially very similar to his custom-upgraded Mark VI, the most prominent difference being a redesigned bodysuit.
To be honest, I don't think his new camo undershirt looks good at all. Should have stuck with the matte classic black. Small complaint, I know.

This actually answers a question I had yesterday.Looking at Blue Team, save for minor details on their shoulder pads, and their different helmets, their armour is identical to John's.Which left me scratching my head because Chief's armour was
