I know I know... Call of Duty hate

Anyways, I thought it was actually good, and that there was some depth there, and some interpretation. The writing was crap tier. Especially Hendricks. But in the story some interesting ideas.

One that I can't shake is the whole thing was a simulation that started after the first level. That the Corvus AI had already taken over at that point, and it was killing the player's ego to take over through the events of the game. The whole time they were a vegetable on some hospital bed somewhere, while Corvus took them over...

I think that TreyArch was maybe too clever in this, as sadly the average CoD player has the imagination of a rock. But it was pretty good.

Anyways, proceed to flame

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.
It was good, which is the benchmark Treyarch tends to hit, and the characters were pretty good. Thing that annoyed me was that they refused to give the player character a name the whole game. Certainly different than other CoD games in the direction and theme the narrative took.

I believe that the last gen port was outsourced to a less important dev. Which could explain the lack of quality.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.

It's called trolling. And it appears I did such a good job that you're STILL pissed about it.

And you missed the point, it was about the Activision merger with Bungie.

I'm surprised you took that seriously. It was obviously a joke.

Holy shit. I was right. Someone on Reddit copied the loading screens. When they read it...

It turns out that it was you dying after rejecting the DNI, and all of the missions were simulations from Taylor reliving what led to that first mission. Instead of Taylor going berserk, it was another operative that he was chasing down. At the end, THAT was the revelation: you were reliving TAYLOR'S memories.

This still sounds like it makes absolutely no sense.

Sounds to me like it's abstract clues, but I wouldn't count that as a good story. You yourself said the narrative was bad.

A walkthrough wouldn't give it right. Like reading the plot of a movie on Wikipedia. TA uses the engine to tell a story really well.

Clues, yes. The narrative was good, I said the dialogue was bad. Especially Hendricks.

I've played CoD games before, believe me, holding the controller would add nothing anymore.
