The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.

It seems ok.
Enemies are apparently deaf though.

I'm seriously bummed out that Dark Souls II seems like a side project for From while they work on Bloodborne. Souls II is still a damn solid game...... but it was missing something special.

And it seems like that special experience has showed up in Bloodborne.

Dark Souls 2 was missing that dark gritty atmosphere that Dark and Demon's Souls had.

I really need to go back and carry on with Dark Souls ._.

I didn't RQ on it, which is surprising really. I just got distracted with a few new games and since I can't have my 360 and PS4 on my desk it gets a bit hard to be bothered to move everything around. And now with all this moving house shit I don't think I'm going to have a lot of time to play :l

I like to think of Souls II as a more "Knightly" kind of game. There were a hell of a lot of Knight enemies involved then before. Just a different art direction is all. Which I don't mind. But personally I think Souls and it's previous successors are at their strongest when we're fighting mythological based beings.

Granted, Souls II had a few of these, but far less than previous installments. But, imagine what a souls game would be like if the devs based it off mythology off of other parts of the world? There's a lot of cultures out there, and I think the devs still have a lot of room to work with for creativity.

But another big factor in things as somebody else already put it, is that the pvp lacks in quality. A good chunk of a souls game is campaign time, but a good portion of the life that goes into it is pvp. And this one's pvp is medicore at best sadly.
