It's like people already forgot how mediocre BF1 was.
EA loves to release high budget visually striking trailers that make people go "wow", but until I see actual gameplay, I will remain skeptical about this game.
Perhaps if they would reallocate the resources and time they use to create mini Pixar films like the trailer they just released, and instead used that time, effort and money to create something unique and innovative in terms of gameplay, then we'd have something worth playing.
To be fair, DICE game's usually do look like the trailers, from a graphical standpoint.
But other than that, I can't say I disagree. With how apologetic they seem over how shit the first EAfront was and how they seem to be turning it around (Clone Wars, no season pass, getting competent writers, class system back etc), I want to be excited. The proper Battlefront II is solidly my all time favourite game, so getting a sequel that seems to at least acknowledge the originals is cool.
But I have this unshakeable feeling in the back of my mind that they'll fuck it up somehow. It almost seems too good to be true - a AAA dev/ publisher actually listening to fan backlash and taking everything into account.
Plus, there's no other games releasing this year I'm particularly interested in so I'm sort of hoping this will be decent so I won't be stuck playing Titanfall 2 for two years.
