Jacob Potila was actually a Jacob Flotilla of lies.- WarTurkey

So I've been playing the Arkham series again recently and just wanted to talk about how great the Freeflow combat system in the games is. I don't know if it's similar to other games' combat or what, but Arkham Asylum was the first game I've played that had it, and boy was it awesome.

It's simple as hell, but at the same time it's just so darn satisfying mastering it and pulling off crazy high combo strings and not getting a single scratch on you. Having to punch, evade and counter is actually pretty easy when you pay attention to the indicators above people's heads, but when you're in a room with 30+ enemies and have all the combos unlocked for use it feels fucking incredible building up a 40+ hit streak and just completely destroying them.

So yeah, gushing over the Arkham combat. It feels a bit barebones when you go back to Asylum after playing the other games, but it's still awesome. It just gets better and better as the games go on. What do you think of it? Do you think it's too simplistic, too similar to Ass Creed, or is it just plain badass and awesome?

The best way to put it is that it's easy to learn, hard to master.

Bro tell me about it, I nearly had a fit trying to get the combo trophies for Knight's platinum.

Not sure if I even want to attempt Asylum and City...

It took me awhile to Platinum Arkham Asylum, but I did. It was my first game when I got my PS3 back in 2009. That and Infamous. I never attempted City. Nor Knight, or Origins.
