They've had so long to include content, and they know what fans want from this, but they played it safe with the four big-hitter maps. Those maps better be goddamn spectacular. I'm not thrilled about weapon unlocks and what appears to be a focus on first-person.Wait? There's not fucking class system?

What, around 11-15 maps including the map pack?40 players is good. I don't need 64 people to have fun. I've had fantastic Battlefield games with 24 people, and that's Battlefield. I think the gameplay is going to be quite a bit different in some areas. No space is disappointing, but we can still engage in dogfights. Not the end of the world. The first Battlefront didn't have space battles, and it was a good game.I think you're drastically overreacting.

I'm referring to the weapon progression system that IGN talked about from the demo. Like unlocking better guns and gear for different classes like in Battlefield.

There's no doubt in my mind. But the lack of a campaign, space missions, or even something structured like Galactic Conquest is a huge letdown. And it's great that each planet has two maps, but it's still disappointing that our first look into the new canon of SW is going to be the same old places we've always seen. No clone wars is immensely disappointing, too.

So we're going to have 2 sets of desert themed maps, a set of ice themed maps, a set of forest themed maps, and a set of volcanic themed maps.I wish there was a little more variety honestly. I guess since most of the interesting worlds to visit are now non-canon they had to make due with what's been mentioned or seen in the movies.
I'd wager there's like 3 maps on each planet at least, I mean, it cant just be 4 maps.
Ok, if there are only four maps then I am extremely disappointed (and who wouldn't be). No Death Star, Yavin IV, Bespin?

DICE, YOUU WERE THE CHOSEN ONEYOU WERE MEANT TO BRING BALANCE TO THE FRANCHISENOT DESTROY IT
I want to believe the reason why there's no space battles at launch is because of time. For now DICE is focusing on making the game and doing ground combat to make sure it works right. There is a teaser image of a space stormtrooper which means there is going to be something in space. But the problem I have with this though is that it's an EA controlled game. For Battlefield 4 I know if you want to play that jet VS jet playlist you have to download a DLC which you have to pay for to unlock that gamemode. I have a feeling if space battles are added latter on as a DLC it's going to be charged.

It sounds like a marketing strategy to get more people to buy it.But now that the DLC has been confirmed to be for free, this shouldn't be an issue anymore.4 planets =/= 4 maps.Where are people getting this 4 maps shit from?Previously every planet had one map with a possible space battle (that doesn't really change anything besides what planet is below you); unless they've otherwise said that there's more than one location per planet, we have to go by what Battlefront has always done: planet = map.

On Tatooine you had the Dune Sea, Mos Eisley and Jabba's Palace. On Kashyyyk you had the Docks and the Islands (etc.).Hopefully that's what they're doing.
