Hopefully EA will let Respawn work on Titanfall 3 instead of chaining their feet to Apex

Although I don't have much hope for Titanfall considering Apex's success and the Star Wars game they're still working on

agreed. the healer and mirage are the only ones i've found useful. the gas guy seems pretty good too but i haven't unlocked him.

For me it's less the abilities and more so the personalities and appearance. Barring the robot none of them look all that cool to me. As for their personalities, it feels as though in trying to make them cool or entertaining, they made them kind of boring. Then again I'm also not a fan of most hero-based games, because they try too hard to make the characters wacky, and they usually attract fans who won't shut up about shipping and other garbage (see: overwatch).

Apex isn't near as bad in that dept. though, it just feels a little uninspired.

There definitely is some really forced tokenism that seems to have been their main priority. Apparently they've stated that the Hawaiian guy is gay and Bloodhound is trans.

Id give it a go if i could run it. Its the first BR i have some interest in but thats because its Titanfall.

The character design is fucking horrendous though, i wouldnt even care about the obvious checklisting if they'd kept the pilot designs.

Bloodhound is probably the coolest looking character in the game but do you know why that is

He's just a rejected Titanfall 1 concept

But yeah otherwise they really pushed hard on the borderlands wackyness for the characters. Kind of sad that they could have used literally any robot but they had to make a quip MRVN. We have two spectre designs and fucknows how many Simulacrums (the phase shift/ stim guys and Ash from TF2) but we get the reddit robot instead

Played 3 hours with 2 friendos. Its alright but still doesnt change my mind on BR. Makes me want to buy TF2 though.

It's not bad but I can't bring myself to enjoy it, just like any other battle royale game. Think I'll go back to Titanfall 2 since it made me miss it.

So I actually tried this out with a friend as I haven't played any battle royale games really, and while it's not a bad game at all, I pretty much confirmed that battle royales are not really my thing.

I'm just an arena shooter type of guy. Sad that there aren't too many being released this generation and into the foreseeable future.
