I like how people think they'll actually try to improve upon the Star Wars story line or give 2 fucks about the tv show or whatever. If the game even has a story it'll be a generic 3 hour romp that they couldn't care less if you play.
http://gamerant.com/star-wars-battlefront-dice-third-person-details/looks like itwell, that's good anywaybut it seems to me as though that won't be the, uhdefault setting...
Even if it isn't, who cares?
"Preplanned" DLC is cut content. You shouldn't be okay with that.
Quote from: BritishLemön on February 13, 2015, 07:47:20 AM"Preplanned" DLC is cut content. You shouldn't be okay with that.Art assets and modeling are usually the first things to get done in game development. After that comes programming scripts, QA testing, etc.In the late stages of game development the art team is sitting there with nothing to do. So why not work on more maps? Trouble is that by the time these new maps are finished, the game will be a month or so away from going gold, which doesn't leave the programmers and QA team enough time to write scripts for the news maps and iron out bugs. These maps are then sold later on as DLC because they couldn't make the release date. That's at least how it usually goes. Most of the time it's obvious whether or not DLC is a cash grab, but you can't exactly know that until after the fact.
I would be extremely surprised if this were true. It wouldn't leave EA/DICE with much room for a sequel, and that sounds humorously out-of-character for them.
