Any reviewers that you trust?

Whether it be traditional media or YouTubers are there any reviewers that you trust before making a purchase? Or do you just wing it by renting/buying without checking?

For me, I basically only use Steam user reviews nowadays.

Most reviewers are enamored with the FPS genre and think DLC and mods are super cool.

So I'd say no, in general.

Otherwise, I tend to do my own research before getting a game. Generally actual gameplay videos to get a feel for the game.

Gametrailers, or at least I used to.

Yahtzee too but entertainment more so. But he still speaks some truth.

Honestly, I just kinda bounce all around to see the reoccurring consensus about a game, but I'm rarely on the fence about what I want to buy unless it's an older game.

Not really. If it's a game that I need to look at reviews on, I just read the Metacritic user-reviews that hover around the 50pt mark. They tend to list the most glaring faults and the good things that keep it from being awful.

TB's WTF is series is what I usually refer to to get a view of the game.
I don't really listen to his opinions I just watch the gameplay as he describe the mechanics.

No, I usually just watch gameplay footage via lets players and decide from there. I don't think I've ever consulted a review in order to decide whether or not to buy something.
