No not at all. To sum it up: He was tired of the games repetitive bullshit and he hated how short it was and didn't like the fact that the story was being sold separately. He gave the game a 6/10.

I hope he brings the review back. It was a good review. He was right about a lot of the frustrating things in this fucking game.

He had to reupload it. Was missing a song/vid at the end according to his twitter.
Was a pretty decent review. Scathing where it needed to be. Fair where it could be. Summed up my thoughts on the game pretty well.

I'm interested to see this reddit post he was talking about that revealed that Activision forced Bungie to take the story out of the game to later sell as DLC.

If this is true I fucking called it back when Bungie first announced their partnership with Activision. It would also explain Statens sudden departure.

Destiny WAS a very overhyped game, but I do enjoy the social aspect it tries to bring to the table. I'll admit to being one of those people that say, "Just wait for the expansions, this is only the vanilla part of the game" but Joe did bring up a great point that the story is told very weakly.

If Activision did tell Bungie to withold a bunch of shit just so it can be DLC later, then Bungie needs to jump ship as soon as their deal expires.

Yahtzee has a review of FireFall and if you replace "FireFall" with "Destiny" every time he talks its pretty spot on, imo.

I just really don't get the appeal. It seems like he makes good points and proper reviews, but I just can't stand his constant yelling, costumes, obnoxious behavior and his whole "theme". I get that it's intended because he is "Angry"Joe after all, but I just find the way he presents himself irritating.

Agreed. It makes it very hard for me to want to work in a AAA studio. Sometimes I feel like I'm building up my portfolio for nothing.

According to Sonyggers and Desticles cutting parts of the game out in order to later sell as DLC for another (or all) platforms this practice only enriches the gaming industry though.
