I think so but I can't quite remember, fairly certain that it was skirmishers because they take one damage from all arrows regardless iirc

Or something shite like that

Depends on what race/faction I'm playing and how I'm feeling.

I use to win only using queens in wings of liberty when I was in the mood.  Too bad HOTS completely fucked up WOLs balance.

I'd generally build a diverse population, wait until I had enough, and then split them into multiple groups to attack the opposing base from multiple angles. If a single group ran into an attack force and got wiped out, I could pull the rest of my units back, or just race to destroy the enemy base first.

In Halo Wars specifically, you could make like a billion Cobras, have them all in lockdown mode or whatever it's called, have all sniper towers near your base occupied, and just clean up everything that comes your way, and counterattack after their biggest force gets memed. I'm surprised at how effective Elephant rushing is against AI, but it's the most boring thing ever, so I never do it.
