343 to beta test patch for MCC

Never heard of a beta for a patch before. 343 leading the industry here.
Anyways, it's gonna be Friday, January 23-Jan. 26th, and be about 1-2gigs. Only for xbox preview members in North America. I actually hope this fixes shit considering the last patch made it to where matchmaking crashes more and may as well be unplayable again.

The Beta is only open to members of the Xbox Preview Program, which is exactly why the program was created. To test unfinished software on the Xbox One.

That's rather good, at least if it's a shitty patch they will know and fix it. Good to see 343 with some fresh ideas

It sounds similar to a CTE, which has been a thing for quite a while. It is good though, BF4 started to improve quite quickly when they set one up and I'm sure this will at least help pick out the bugs in the patch before it goes live.

I don't see why people are having a fuss. It's far more effective, and quite a few games do it. The most recent I can think of is Battlefield 4 CTE, where I get to play patches the second they're developed, and often times get in servers with DICE LA employees asking everyone what they think.

It's better this than have 343 scramble around getting feedback once the patch is finalized.

Hopefully MCC is fixed soon.

I was playing it last night, and while it is fucked up, I still had tons of fun on it.

It doesn't seem too bad. If I search BTB, I can generally get a game within 5 minutes.

Sounds better than what my friend and I had. We played a few matches in Halo 3 and then we decided to switch to the team slayer playlist and it went downhill from there. Only a few minutes into the game, one of us would get black screen back to the main menu, that happened about three times, so we decided to try big team they didn't find anybody after several minutes, so we went back to team slayer. Had multiple black screen issues again. We tried to play campaign, we got to the end of infinity and as soon as we both of us got into the mantises my friend's MCC crashed. After that we both just got off.
