(Possible Spoilers for Smash Bros Wii U/3DS Found in Update Data)

It looks like we might be getting them in Smash Wii U/3DS.
The twitter account of the wiki The Cutting Room Floor also confirmed the data's existence.

Along with this are three Kirby songs and a theme from Street Fighter (never played it). I'm pretty excited, this might mean that we are also getting new stages in DLC form. (samuri plz new pork city for 8 player and omega scenery annd new mother 3 music holy grep plz)

Personally, I'm pretty surprised by this. Roy was only put in Melee to advertise his Fire Emblem game which was unreleased at the time (and didn't turn out to be too big of a hit), so if we got veteran files from the latest patch, I would have expected Wolf.
Ryu, though, is a shocker to me. I've always considered Street Fighter to be more of a PS/Xbox/Arcade game than a Nintendo game.
Also, this makes room for more stages and music being added, so I'm pretty hyped (and hopeful but this looks real).

The only real negative I can draw from this is that:

Capcom has a second rep in Smash and it isn't Phoenix Wright who has had all of his games/Ace Attorney games (unless you count UMvC3) on Nintendo consoles.

Actually, on second thought, he probably wouldn't have the most exciting moveset, but I can dream.

i'd much rather have learned this information from an official reveal

now when it is officially revealed, there will be no hype whatsoever
which is saying something considering that i mained roy in melee

I'd be surprised to see Ninty get in bed with a direct rival like that on one of their big franchises.

If they were going to do it it'd probably end up being in the next game. As that would take time to work out legal and code.

Np. It is pretty hype though. I feel like some of the problems with the original roster are definitely being fixed. I'd expect 2-4 after these guys but, of course, we don't know for sure until an announcement.

Yeah, I know but, we still don't know if they're being considered or they are making them

It just seems kind of odd to me how they would patch this in for unused content. More theories are that they are preparing for future DLC with these.

woo roys our boy... ive always liked roy, he would definitely be one of my favorites again. although, if they did include roy again, id feel like there would be wayy too many fire emblem characters... i dunno

but what i really want is the 3ds version to get more than 2 songs per stage... i liked the my music option from brawl/wii u

and whyyy cant i smash run to master hand song arghh

also, when looking at that little article i noticed there was a kirby air ride song and that brings me to something... whyy cant we have a kirby air ride 2 or something, i would kill for that
