The fact that Destiny is Halo 4's multiplayer with the Req system shoved on top of it should make you thank God that 343 are the ones making Halo.

No. Even content not written by him this year has been lacking, except for maybe Shadow of Intent.

How? BUNGiE droped the ball in Halo 2's programming and the fact that all the glitches ended up making the game better was pure luck.

And then with Halo 3 and Reach they started making increasingly retarded decisions about gunplay mechanics, the latter was so bad it had to be fixed up by 343 among many other things about the game.

Halo Reach's forge beinig as good as it was was also luck, and the main thing that saved Reach from being completely abandoned.

the one thing I can give to BUNGiE is their sense of sacle. They knew how to make huge fights in campaign and make em good. 343 hasn't done anything to match the scale of Halo 3 and Reach's set peices, exept in the skyboxes.

Other than that. Halo 5 is a better multiplayer title than anything BUNGiE has ever put out and even H2A is a better Halo 2 than Halo 2 is.

I wouldn't put them at that level just yet. If Halo 6 pulls the same shit then fuck 'em.

 At least Halo 5 actually has redeeming factors.

I'm not going to deny that Bungie's games had problems. But the existence of such problems doesn't negate their quality. They're all great games, even Reach. And they all had lasting appeal, something I can't say for 343i's Halo. And also, while Bungie were in charge, the game actually had a decent community. And Bungie's sense of humour was far better than 343i's how-do-you-do-fellow-kids autistic shit.

Halo 4 was great. I loved replaying the campaign. Easily one of the best in the series. And while the multiplayer was pretty meh, Legendary Slayer was fucking great. And the game actually had Forge (albeit a shit version) and custom games at launch. The only major problem I ever had with that game was art design. It was a great game and it felt like 343i had direction and towards the end, learning from their mistakes.

And then Halo 5 comes out, a confused mess. It's not a sequel to Halo 4. This game really gives off the feel that 343i are trying too hard. The art is complete shit. It feels like 343i are trying too hard to make a futuristic looking game and so give it weird designs and overly saturated colours. Campaign was complete ass with little to no replayability whatsoever. Warzone is complete ass and so is the Req system. And then Arena. Arena is fun, but it doesn't hold my interest. And it doesn't feel like Competitive Halo. Even Halo 4 did that with Legendary Slayer. Even Reach was able to do that sometimes. But Halo 5 doesn't feel like Halo, and that's a phrase I used to hate. Not to mention the game released with a shit-tier amount of content, scooped out of the game to be fed to us under the guise of "free DLC".

Halo 5 is a good game, but at the same time it fucking sucks and I never wanted Halo to stoop to that level.

Give me Halo-era Bungie or 2012 343i and I'll be happy. But Halo's current direction just isn't doing it for me.
